King Cocktail Joins the Bitters Boom
King Cocktail, the nickname of renowned cocktail pioneer Dale DeGroff, has introduced a new line of bitters. Pimento Dram, a defunct liqueur that DeGroff was fond of during his bartending years, is the main inspiration behind the new line.
DeGroff worked for two years with “The Godfather of Absinthe” Ted Breaux to produce DeGroff’s Pimento Aromatic Bitters. According to DeGroff’s website, the bitters are a blend of the pimento spice, anise and other herbs and “its distinctive flavor enhances many classic and modern cocktails.”
The bitters are offered in the standard 150-ml bottle or in the 250-ml Collectors Edition and can be found on the King Cocktail website.
