Drinking in Washington and Ohio Just Got Easier

Washington state’s already booming distilling business is about to get a boost thanks to new state laws that will cut their taxes significantly. Now there is even more reason to purchase a bottle of Dry Fly Washington Wheat or Voyager Dry Gin directly from the source, because distilleries no longer have to pay a 17% tax on every bottle sold out of their tasting rooms. That makes for happier distillers, so why not pay them a visit?

Another new law in Ohio is increasing the number of distillery permits allowed in the state. This is paving the way for a whole new host of distilleries opening up. More than a dozen new businesses have applied for licenses, and there are a known 4 in the process of opening right now. Keep your eye on this state for new products.
