Buffalo Trace Releases a Real Survivor
Buffalo Trace Distillery’s new “Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon” is a real “Survivor.” This bourbon is named after Warehouse C, which was damaged by an F3 tornado on April 2, 2006. While the tornado only damaged the warehouse’s roof, it wound up exposing the bourbon barrels to inclement weather for several months.
Because of this exposure, a lot more bourbon was lost during the aging process than normal. Buffalo Trace only has a limited supply of the Warehouse C small-batch bourbon. So if you want a bottle, you should buy it as soon as it comes out. And, drink this hooch slowly: Warehouse C’s bourbon is bottled at 100 proof.
