Movie-watchers beware; you may start choking on your popcorn when the new Bond movie Skyfall comes out later this year. James Bond is skipping his standard “shaken, not stirred” Martini for a beer…and, not just any beer. Thanks to Heineken’s need for more attention, 007 will be grabbing the company’s signature green can to quench his thirst.

While there’s nothing wrong with the legend downing a cold one, Heineken just doesn’t seem Bond’s style. How about Allagash Brewing Company’s Coolship line of sour beers, which, like Bond’s rebellious streak, don’t really fit the traditional beer mold? How about the refreshing taste of the Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love since the Bond franchise is always part of the summer blockbuster season? Or, better yet, Bond should just pick back up his signature Vesper cocktail and forget about the whole beer thing.
