Today, low-calorie drinking has become a trend among consumers who want to balance their indulgences with their overall physical wellness.

Funkin, a UK-based mixer brand, is doing their part to contribute to the “skinny cocktail” craze. The recently launched Agave Nectar claims to have 40% fewer calories than the common sugar syrup used in many cocktails. The 100% organic sweetener is made from blue agave cacti and comes in a variety of flavors including mint and vanilla.

The big question: does it taste good? The company says it tested a number of ingredients for flavor and other qualities before settling on blue agave as the main ingredient. We say, if it’s better than the artificial sweeteners, Funkin is headed in the right direction.
