THL: What is it?

(ri)1 Rye Whiskey is Jim Beam’s answer to the growing rye whiskey trend. It's a more mellow take on this typically robust, astringent spirit.

THL: Why should you try it?

It meets new rye consumers half-way for a gentle dip into the world of rye whiskeys. It is the perfect rye for tentative bourbon fans not yet prepared to take the full plunge into the peppery, cinnamon spice world of rye. It retains many of the characteristics of a traditional rye, but turns down the dial of both the heat and the spice found in some headier rye whiskeys like High West Double Rye or WhistlePig Straight Rye.

THL: Who makes it?

This whiskey is on of many Beam Global products.

THL: What does it taste like?

bright citrus zest

THL: How should you drink it?

(ri)1 Rye Whiskey is lightly spiced and will work well in a variety of cocktails. There are some bright citrus flavors also at play, which make it particularly well-suited for citrus cocktails.

Tony Abou-Ganim is a world-renowned mixologist, who is recognized for crafting many modern classic cocktails. The Just for Mary cocktail is one of the many delicious cocktails from his book, The Modern Mixologist Contemporary Classic Cocktails.
