THL: What is it?

Redemption Rye Whiskey isn’t afraid to push the rye content to the limit. At 95% rye, it’s one feisty bottle of hooch. This whiskey only spends 2 years in new charred oak barrels, but manages to reach a flavor of maturity absent in other young whiskeys.

THL: Why should you try it?

The rye whiskey is spicy, hot (due to the bottling at 92 proof) and strong enough to stand up in almost any cocktail. You should drink it because it's exactly what we think of when we think of rye. Bold, astringent, and grainy.

THL: What does it taste like?

Redemption Rye is surprisingly sweet for a rye whiskey with flavors of toffee and dark fruit. This helps to balance the cinnamon, allspice, clove, and rye spiciness which will kick your ass if you’re not careful.

THL: How should you drink it?

For this pre-Prohibition style rye, celebrate Prohibition’s repeal with the Ward 8 — a popular post-prohibition cocktail.

Other Suggestions:

This rye really finds its way in a cocktail. The Brooklyn cocktail in another great classic cocktail where Redemption Rye Whiskey will be sure to hold its own.
