"In the old days whiskey was often sold in pig-shaped bottles," says the distillery website. "In keeping with Appalachian tradition, we have created our own unique bottle for our family recipe whiskey."

Pinchgut Hollow Distillery makes the majority of their spirits with West Virginia buckwheat at family-owned Heston Farm. The family has been in the area since the Revolutionary War. Also onsite is the Heston Farm Winery.
