THL: What is it?

Pimm's #1 is a classic London Dry gin.

THL: Why should you try it?

Oh, Pimm’s. The Queen is a proud drinker of this gin-based British liqueur, and it makes a fine aperitif.

THL: Who makes it?

Invented by James Pimm, who operated out of the banking center in London in the 1850s, Pimm’s works well in many classic cocktails. The cocktail, Pimm’s Cup, popularized this bitter liqueur.

THL: How should you drink it?

Traditionally, it is served with lemonade and a cucumber wedge, but you can go the whole nine yards and make yourself a Pimm’s Cup (Pimm’s No. 1 and 7UP). For a not-as-sweet-alternative, make a Pimm’s Lemonade with Pimm’s No. 1, lemon juice, club soda, and some simple syrup.
