THL: What is it?
This bourbon is distilled with sweet corn from Olathe, Colorado and aged for two years.
THL: Why should you try it?
In 2008, Peach Street Distillers premiered this bourbon, the first legal bourbon in the state of Colorado since Prohibition. There were 200 bottles of Colorado Straight Bourbon in the first batch, and this year the distillery plans to produce more than 100 barrels.
THL: Who makes it?
Peach Street Distillers just won the American Distilling Institute (ADI) award for 2012 Distillery of the Year. The distillery is located in Palisade, Colorado, a location chosen specifically for its high-quality fruit yields. Peach Street also makes gin, vodka, brandy and grappa.
