This flavored vodka is Charbay Winery and Distillery's Clear Vodka, a blend of American Midwest corn and rye, and flavored with Texas Rio Star grapefruit.
THL: Why should you try it?
The distillers at this winery/distillery use the entire grapefruit to flavor this vodka, which gives this spirit a slightly bitter flavor and a residual sweetness, just like the real thing.
THL: Who makes it?
Father and son Miles and Marko Karakasevic do the distilling and winemaking at this family-run operation. Miles and his wife Jenni own the facility in Napa Valley where they work closely with Marko and his wife Susan. They produce seven kinds of vodka, including Green Tea, Meyer Lemon, Blood Orange and Clear, as well as tequila, whiskey, rum, liqueur, brandy, grappa, and pastis.
