THL: What is it?
Charbay uses 100% real fruit and no additives in its Blood Orange Vodka, transporting you to the citrus grove with each sip.
THL: Why should you try it?
The tree-ripened blood oranges from central California give Charbay Blood Orange Vodka a bright, all-natural color and flavor. All of the fruit is organically grown and delivered to the distillery within three days of harvest. The extraction process takes almost 6 months to complete before the results are blended with Charbay’s award-winning Clear Vodka.
THL: Who makes it?
Charbay puts quality first, even if that means not distilling their Blood Orange Vodka year round. Master distiller Marko Karaksevic will only use fruit picked during peak ripeness to ensure that every bottle of hooch you purchase is packed with flavor.
THL: What does it taste like?
This spirit does not have the saccharine sweetness of some other not-to-be-named orange vodkas, and instead has a pleasant, balanced bitterness that comes from using the whole fruit in the maceration process.
THL: How should you drink it?
Don’t worry if you can’t find blood oranges for this vodka cocktail, standard oranges will suffice. Blood oranges are just so much more fun…
