THL: What is it?

Bull Run Medoyeff Vodka is distilled from rye.

THL: Why should you try it?

How many adjectives could describe this vodka? Let’s see: bracing, spicy, weighty...well, you get the picture. Visually, it’s clear, viscous. Just smell that Medoyeff with anise and other herbs. Slightly sweet, it lingers on and on and on.

THL: Who makes it?

Bull Run Distilling Company was founded by Lee Medoff and his business partner Patrick Bernards in the spring of 2010. The distillery, which calls industrial Northwest Portland its home, is named after pioneers who rounded cattle in the 1850s in an area of the Cascade Mountain Range called Bull Run.

anise, mineral finish

2 ounces Medoyeff Vodka
1/2 ounce Bonal Centiane-Quina
1/4 ounce Combier Liquer D’Orange
1 Healthy Dash of Angostura Bitters
Zest from one small strip of Lemon
