THL: What is it?

This 90-proof, un-aged whiskey is distilled from American corn.

THL: Why should you try it?

Prichard's is a distiller that knows their whiskey. From Tennessee to rye, single malt to moonshine, they've got it all. They also make a lineup of fine liqueurs, including the Sweet Lucy Bourbon Liqueur.

THL: Who makes it?

Phil Prichard got his start in the business making rum. One day his wife came home and found him using her canning pot to distill rum on their kitchen stove. “I said, 'Honey, I'm making rum, have a taste,'" recounts Prichard. “And she said, 'woo-hoo that's good.' So I had my first compliment from my worst critic.” Before that, however, the Prichard family was making whiskey for generations. Phil opened his distillery in 1997, the first legal operation in Tennessee since Prohibition.

THL: What does it taste like?

Corn on the cob
