My first trip to New Orleans was last summer for Tales of the Cocktail. I spent the first three days drinking Sazerac cocktails, then I got introduced to the Vieux Carré at the Carousel Bar at the Hotel Monteleone. I'm still a huge Sazerac fan, but a Vieux Carré is slowly becoming one of my favorite cocktails. Balanced, boozy, but great to drink! One word description...elegance
