My first “nice” hotel job was in the depths of Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, where from within a tiny little dispense bar behind the Strathearn Restaurant I would assemble the rollaway bars for various parties held on the hotel property. Summertime always reminds me of the Pimm’s carts, which featured a plethora of mixers for Pimm's and a buffet of the most refreshing looking fruit garnishes: leafy mint sprigs, cucumber slices, orange wheels and maraschino cherries. Tennis or Croquet anyone?
