Allegedly created for Ernest Hemingway at the legendary La Floradita bar in Cuba, this variation on the Classic Daiquiri adds grapefruit juice and, since Hemingway was known for being a diabetic, maraschino liqueur takes the place of regular sugar. Mr. Hemingway was also known for throwing these back fast and ordering doubles, so the drink is also known as "Papa Doble," which means "Double for Daddy." Be careful with the maraschino liqueur, as it's flavor can overpower the cocktail. Taste as you go, friends.
