Bartender Stories

Alexandra Geppert

Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing. Someone should have told me that a French 75 was a serious piece of artillery. After a couple of these dainty looking delights I was ready to go to battle. Drinker beware: since WWI, hidden under tastes like a sun-kissed summer's day, the French 75 has had some serious gusto. If you love the idea of champagne with more body and zest, try this cocktail. If it's good enough for the French and American soldiers to celebrate victory, it's more than good enough for me.
