Copacabana at Dawn Rum Drink Recipe

How to Make

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Shake well, and strain using a hawthorne strainer over an ice-filled tall tumbler. Garnish with a slice of tropical fruit.

Ingredients

Makes one drink:

  • 2 ounces Cachaca
  • 1-1/2 ounces Maracuja Juice (passion fruit)
  • 3/4 ounce Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 ounce Cream

Garnish

1 Star fruit or other tropical fruit of choice

Maracuja juice is passion fruit concentrate. Now I know you probably don't have a bottle of this lying around, but you might want to swing by a specialty Latin/Mexican/Caribbean store, and pick one up. When you're not making fun, summer cocktails with this a cup or two of just the juice will apparently calm down any hyperactive child...just sayin'. That's the main reason, besides taste of course, that this cocktail made it onto the list. Go get your grass skirt, put on the steel drum CD, sit back, relax, and enjoy your peaceful child quietly playing in the sand box.
