About the Contributor
With 9 Emmys and a Peabody, DP/Editor Valerie Vozza considers herself first and foremost a storyteller. She has been at her craft for over 30 years, 20 of those shooting and editing documentaries for PBS. That’s some serious storytelling. Valerie got her hands on a Kodak Instamatic camera in the 5th grade and knew that telling people’s stories through pictures was her destiny. She loves to meet people and figure out what makes them tick. It’s about being perceptive and open…with no assumptions. Sit down, shut up, and listen. Or in Valerie’s case, observe.
