THL: What are your other gigs and interests?

I'm immersed in the world of USBG NY (United States Bartenders Guild). I work with numerous brands, and bring them to life on television, radio and print media. Other than that, I enjoy hanging out with friends wearing the best threads I can find at stores. Always looking fly!

THL: What is something that best represents your personality?

I can give you glamour and hood at the same time...all while having fun and, of course, drinking. Here is a YouTube clip from Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. I'm the Spanish bald guy shaking and drinking...haha.

THL: What is your bartending style?

I love to be the star of the show. I'm the entertainment for you, while serving you the best cocktails I have to offer. It's part of my theater act.

THL: How do you find inspiration for new cocktails and recipes?

From my bartender peers across the world. I read all the publications that this industry has to offer. I also go to the local farmers market and see what is season.

THL: Besides bartending, what things do you do well?

I'm very organized...I always need things in order. Especially my bar! Everything has its place so I can delivery the cocktails in a timely manner.

I also take great pictures!

Eating is my second hobby, I hope to find a partner who is a chef that can cook for me while I make them cocktails.

THL: Ever had any strange customer requests while bartending?

Every request is strange in my opinion.

THL: What is your favorite after-shift drink?

Bourbon neat, rocks, or Manhattan. Nothing like an after work brown American spirit.

THL: What is the one thing you can’t live without from your home liquor cabinet?

Berheim Winter Wheat Whiskey. Just so pleasing to the palate while at home...also, a bottle of vodka in the freezer.

THL: What is the most underrated cocktail?

The classic Corpse Reviver...one of those old cocktails that has citrus and absinthe. Yum, yum, yum.

THL: What is the test of a great bartender?

Being able to multi-task, make cocktails for guests and staff at the same time. All the while greeting, listening, and talking with guests.
